Affinité Instruments' SPR sensors are precision-engineered exclusively for our platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Each sensor is metallized and fully disposable—no messy oil layers, no cleaning hassles. With customizable surface chemistries, including proprietary coatings like Afficoat™, our sensors adapt to your assay needs, whether you're targeting proteins, aptamers, or small molecules. It's SPR made simple, clean, and versatile.

Bare sensor

Good for adsorption or your own chemistry. Typically thiol based chemistry like custom SAMs.

Adsorption

Randomly placing molecules on the surface may yield a signal—but expect elevated noise from non-specific binding

2D sensor

Surface Chemistry_edited_edited_edited.p

Single point of reaction on the surface chemistry. Good for low density, high accuracy kinetics. Recommended for protein-protein interactions.

Coupling

The go-to method: amine coupling with EDC-NHS. It’s reliable, flexible, and widely used—but expect to fine-tune conditions for optimal performance.

3D sensor

Multiple points of reaction on the surface chemistry. Good for high density kinetics. Recommended for small molecule interactions.

Capture

Tag-based immobilization keeps ligands oriented, preserves activity, and simplifies setup—no complex coupling required.
