Do work that actually matters
in science.

We're a small, focused team building instruments that go into real labs on four continents. We move fast, cut through bureaucracy, and trust the people we hire to own their work.

Why Affinité

Not your average biotech job.

Real products, real labs

Our instruments are in universities, pharma companies, and government labs worldwide. Your work ships — and you'll hear back from the scientists who use it.

Grow fast, own things

We're small on purpose. You won't be a cog. From your first week, you'll have genuine ownership of your area and a direct line to the founders.

Cross-disciplinary every day

Software meets chemistry meets optics meets business here. Whatever your background, you'll learn the others — and be better for it.

The labs we work with.

Real researchers. Real experiments. This is where our instruments end up.

We built the software stack that drives our SPR instruments and the In-SPARQ analytics pipeline — and now we need someone to own it, grow it, and push it further. This is a hands-on role for someone fresh out of school who picks things up fast, isn't afraid of unfamiliar codebases, and gets excited by seeing their work used by researchers in real experiments.

What you'll do
  • Maintain and extend our instrument control software (desktop application)
  • Develop and improve In-SPARQ — our algorithmic signal analysis pipeline
  • Build internal tools, dashboards, and automation scripts
  • Work directly with the CEO on technical roadmap decisions
What we're looking for
  • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • Comfort with Python and/or JavaScript; other languages a bonus
  • Curious by nature — you figure things out independently
  • Some exposure to data processing, signal analysis, or scientific computing is a plus
  • No prior biotech experience required — we'll teach you the science

Our SPR sensors are at the core of what we sell — and what our customers trust. We need a scientist who can own the production and quality of those sensors: running batches, developing and refining protocols, characterizing surface chemistry, and making sure every chip that leaves our facility performs. You'll work closely with our scientific co-founders and have direct input on how we improve our sensor platform.

What you'll do
  • Produce and quality-control SPR sensor chips (gold-coated, functionalized surfaces)
  • Develop, document, and optimize production protocols
  • Characterize sensor batches using SPR and other analytical tools
  • Investigate failures, troubleshoot deviations, propose improvements
  • Support customer-facing application testing and validation experiments
What we're looking for
  • MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or related field
  • Hands-on bench experience — comfortable running experiments independently
  • Familiarity with surface chemistry or biosensing is a strong plus
  • Detail-oriented and rigorous about documentation and reproducibility
  • Startup pace mindset — flexible, resourceful, solution-oriented

Every P4SPR that reaches a lab has been built and tested by hand — with care. We're looking for a production technician who takes pride in precise, repeatable work: assembling optical and electronic components, running functional tests, and making sure our instruments meet spec before they ship. This role is critical to our quality and our reputation.

What you'll do
  • Assemble P4SPR instrument units following detailed build procedures
  • Perform functional testing and calibration at each production stage
  • Identify and flag assembly issues; support root-cause investigations
  • Maintain clean, organized production workspace and component inventory
  • Contribute to improving assembly procedures and test protocols
What we're looking for
  • College diploma in Electronics, Electromechanics, Industrial Technology, or equivalent hands-on technical training
  • Comfortable working with electronics, optics, and precision mechanical components
  • Methodical, attentive to detail — you read the manual and follow it
  • Basic familiarity with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope) is a plus
  • Positive attitude, team player, takes ownership of their output

We've built a globally distributed business on non-dilutive funding — and we're not done. As we scale instrument placements, grow recurring revenue from sensors and services, and explore institutional partnerships, we need someone who can own the financial architecture of that growth. This is a senior role for a finance professional who's comfortable in a fast-moving environment, can build from scratch, and wants to be part of a company reshaping how binding analysis gets done in the world.

What you'll do
  • Own financial planning, budgeting, and reporting across the business
  • Build financial models supporting investment readiness, grants, and strategic decisions
  • Manage cash flow, accounts, and relationships with banking and government programs
  • Lead financial due diligence for partnerships, distribution agreements, and contracts
  • Advise the CEO and board on financial strategy as we move into the next growth phase
What we're looking for
  • CPA designation or equivalent; 8+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Background in a startup, scale-up, or venture-backed environment
  • Fluency with government grant programs (NRC IRAP, SDTC, SR&ED) is a strong asset
  • Able to operate as a team of one — hands-on, not just strategic
  • Experience in life sciences, medtech, or hardware is a plus

Our instruments are already in labs at top-tier pharma, biotech, and academic institutions. Now we're going after larger, more strategic relationships — multi-site pharma deployments, CRO and CDMO partnerships, and government programs. We need a business development leader who's done it before: someone who can navigate complex organizations, build executive-level relationships, and close deals that transform the company's trajectory.

What you'll do
  • Identify, pursue, and close strategic accounts in pharma, biotech, CROs, and government
  • Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise-level instrument and service opportunities
  • Develop distribution and partnership agreements in key markets (US, EU, Asia)
  • Represent Affinité at high-level industry events and technical conferences
  • Work with the CEO and science team to shape positioning for large accounts
What we're looking for
  • 10+ years in life science instruments, analytical tools, or biotech commercial roles
  • Proven track record closing large, complex deals with long sales cycles
  • Existing network in pharma R&D, drug discovery, or bioprocessing is a strong differentiator
  • Fluent in the science — you can hold your own in a conversation about SPR, biosensors, or assay development
  • Hunter mentality with the polish to work at the executive level
