Assay Development Scientist

Job Description
The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on experiences developing and validating assay based on surface plasmon resonance. You will work as part of an open, multi-disciplinary team to bring innovations based on Affinité’s biosensing technology to address global challenges faced by researchers and clinicians. You will work side-by-side with university professors and researchers which is a great opportunity for both personal and professional growth. Your daily responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Design, execute and interpret experiments required for the development, optimization and validation of assay/immunoassays, as well as consumables kit used in assay/immunoassays for our SPR platform

Write and communicate research protocols, reports, workplans, SOPs, manuscripts and presentations both internally and externally

Contribute to company intellectual property development

Mange laboratory projects which includes sourcing materials, defining schedule, and coordinating the team to ensure testing is aligned with company objectives

Identify, evaluate and implement process improvements

Create/maintain proactive approach toward quality and safety

Qualifications & Experiences

Minimum experience of 1-3 years in assay development is required with a preference for experience in Surface Plasmon Resonance or ELISA
-
Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology or other scientific discipline

English and/or French minimum. Additional languages at business level a big plus
