Assay Development Scientist

Job Description

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on experiences developing and validating assay based on surface plasmon resonance. You will work as part of an open, multi-disciplinary team to bring innovations based on Affinité’s biosensing technology to address global challenges faced by researchers and clinicians. You will work side-by-side with university professors and researchers which is a great opportunity for both personal and professional growth. Your daily responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Design, execute and interpret experiments required for the development, optimization and validation of assay/immunoassays, as well as consumables kit used in assay/immunoassays for our SPR platform

  • Write and communicate research protocols, reports, workplans, SOPs, manuscripts and presentations both internally and externally

  • Contribute to company intellectual property development

  • Mange laboratory projects which includes sourcing materials, defining schedule, and coordinating the team to ensure testing is aligned with company objectives

  • Identify, evaluate and implement process improvements

  • Create/maintain proactive approach toward quality and safety

Qualifications & Experiences
  • Minimum experience of 1-3 years in assay development is required with a preference for experience in Surface Plasmon Resonance or ELISA

  • Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology or other scientific discipline

  • English and/or French minimum. Additional languages at business level a big plus
